three little monkeys’ mom asked:

Can you use a Pur water filter to get out the salt for drinking? Like one of the jugs? Please help, nobody seems to know the answer to this.

That’s because most people have one line piped to a separate fixture for drinking, or coffee water, etc., that by passes the softener, when it’s installed. It’s not that tough to do even after it’s in. Talk to a plumber or a good handyman. I’ve never heard of trying to filter out the salt to make it safe or more palatable to drink with anything.
